Cycle Launch Date and Important Details

As noted in a communication sent last month, the annual cycle launch will occur in August, consistent with the timing of last year’s cycle transition with a few important changes based on user feedback and needs. Most importantly, we have developed a solution to eliminate downtime between cycles by having a short duration of crossover time when both application cycles will be open simultaneously.

The NursingCAS 2018 – 2019 Application Cycle will open toexclamation-point.png applicants and  schools on Wednesday, August 15. The configuration portal for the 2018 – 2019 cycle will be available on June 4, program configurations will be rolled over. And users will be able to transfer settings from their current WebAdMIT set-up to WebAdMIT 2018 – 2019 when the cycle opens.  We are still finalizing the list of enhancements and will send a separate announcement out about planned feature updates. Visit this page to view a detailed timeline and FAQs.

The Re-Applicant feature will be in place again for next cycle and will allow existing applicants to carry over their transcripts and data (with the exception of references and program-specific materials). Please note that the applicant fees for the 2018 – 2019 NursingCAS cycle will remain the same, no increase, and we will continue to offer the fee waiver program to applicants.

application-home-small.png?r=1524059570182The NursingCAS 2017 – 2018 Application Cycle will close on Monday, September 17 and that’s also the last date for applicants to submit for the current cycle so we recommend posting a deadline no later than September 15. The last date for processing of transcripts and references is September 21, and verification for the current cycle will end on September 28.

The NursingCAS staff will be offering virtual office hours on May 10 at 3:00 PM EDT and May 15 at 11:30 AM EDT so users can dial in for a brief overview and ask any questions or provide feedback. Get the details about how to connect to virtual office hours by registering.

Don’t see a time that works for you? Contact Ann Donnelly to schedule a separate time to meet if you have questions or concerns. We will be sending out another important email to request your program’s primary contact to update your information and to renew your school’s participation in NursingCAS for next cycle.
